About Sammie's Toy Drive
Sammie's Toy Drive is a specialized toy drive for communities struck with tragedies affecting kids and teens. Instead of sending items to the community at ground zero, we deliver the items once people have forgotten. News patterns do not match with the stages of grief. Our mission is to spread love and support to those who have been through tragedy by providing them with toys and games that can help them feel loved and supported
Our Process
We have a simple process to ensure that your contributions reach the communities that need them the most. First, you can browse our website to learn more about our mission and the different ways you can support us. Then, you can make a donation online through our Amazon wishlist or a monetary donation through our PayPal, Venmo or Cashapp on the "Donate" page, or contact us to arrange an in-person drop-off. We will then collect and sort the toys and other donations and deliver them to the communities in need.
Types of Contributions
We accept donations of new and gently used toys, other items and games for kids and teens, or items can be purchased off of our Amazon Wishlist. You can also support us by making a monetary contribution, which will help us to purchase specific items needed and expand our reach to more communities in need. Volunteer Opportunities
We welcome volunteers of many different specialties. We need help with outreach, fundraising, social media management and sorting, collecting and event coordinating . Please use the Contact Us or Volunteer page to start your volunteer journey!
Community Impact
Our toy drive has made significant community impacts in Uvalde, Texas, Kerrville, Texas, Kansas City, Louisburg, Kansas, and Linn County, Kansas, and we hope to continue to impact the communities we serve. By providing toys and other needed items to kids and teens who have been affecting by tragedy, especially gun violence. We have worked to help them find joy and comfort in the time of darkness. We have also brought a sense of community and support to these areas, which has a positive impact on their healing.
